Hello and welcome to my blog where I review the books that I read.
Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott (with Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis) is the latest book that I've read. Read it before watching the movie they said on the book cover but is it really worth your time? Read on to find out!
Right when it was announced that there will be a book published before the movie releases, I knew I had to read it before watching the movie(I still haven't watched the movie by the way :D). It took me quite some time before I could get hold of the book and it wasn't until recently that I did get to read it. I knew the storyline along which the novel was based (after seeing the movie trailer obviously!) and sort of had high expectations. The narrative is first person narrative where alternate chapters are narrated by Will and Stella. For those of you who aren't aware about the story(which I think most of you are), it's about two teenagers who are both suffering from Cystic Fibrosis and have to be six feet apart at all times from each other and other patients. They start of as people not able to stand each other's company and then eventually end up falling in love (like those typical soaps). About the language of the novel, it's the daily conversational tone and one doesn't have to stop reading every now and then to look for a word and check it's meaning in a dictionary.
All in all I don't know what to say about being the book meeting my expectations. It's sort of those books that you to read to relax after reading quite a traumatic one. You can read it if you are looking for an easy read and have nothing else on your to be read list at the moment.
